Bits per sample info in flac files [#11251]

Post by jwhitworth »

I could not find "bits per sample" anywhere in MMW for my flac files.

Is this info stored in the flac file? Foobar shows this info but maybe it has to calculate it???

I found an old thread on this but the question was never answered.

Bitrate is in the Details view.

I currently include this info in the album name but would like to use the info in the flac files themselves if possible.

Is the information in the flac file?

If so could the display of this info be added to MMW?

Bitrate, # of Channels and sample rate are in Properties --> Detail but the "Bits per sample" is not.

Is there an official way I can make make a feature request? Or can you make the request like the one you did fixing the Number of Channels error you made yesterday?

To confirm, "bits per sample" is not displayed in properties.

You are all right, blame it on my bad english, but I meant BytesPerSample (eg. more known as kbps)

So can we get the "bits per sample" info included in the MediaMonkey database so we can use it as a criteria when making collections and searching?
