Re: Stop creating "Sync Folder" on all connected devices
With Windows 8.1, I continue to have that same issue; USB storage non-Android gets folders installed as if it is syncing with MMW Beta. Each time the USB connects, the folder is created if absent. All versions up to 1758; which I cannot install without MMW 1758 immediately crashing upon startup.

Re: Stop creating "Sync Folder" on all connected devices
Hi, this shouldn't happen starting from build 1754, the StorageInfo.xml file is now created only on first USB sync (not on connect).
If it really happens for you, then please generate debug log and send to eSupport, but based on your report here:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 31#p413938
it seems that the re-installation process hasn't gone right and that there are still some files/DLL from the older MMW versions?

Re: Stop creating "Sync Folder" on all connected devices
This is quite a rough way but a working one. Use ONLY if you want to completely stop all syncing features on ALL portable devices.
Navigate to "Options" -> "Portable Device Sync" inside MediaMonkey and see the DLL files on the list: "d_iPhone.dll" etc.. Those are the trouble makers. Next, just simply navigate to C:\Program Files (x86) or whatever is your MediaMonkey install location. Search for those DLL file names and rename them to for example "d_iPhone.dll.old" or whatever. Now MediaMonkey won't recognize the files until you rename them back.
If you choose to update MediaMonkey, you may have to repeat this process or maybe even search for new updated plugin DLLs. Operate at your own risk.
