I'll try reinstalling the plugin from scratch in a bit. It also does seem that MM (4.1.3.1708) is hanging a lot more too.

Is there any logging from the plugin ?
Yes, you can find the logfile here C:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\mediamonkey\scripts\discogs_script.log

Please post the release number from discogs, so i can reproduce the error.

Did you see the hint in red "There are different numbers of tracks" ?
This means, that you selected 20 (e.g.) songs and the release you choose from discogs have more or less songs. This is important !

Take a look at the first song. The title of this song is "I Am Shadow".
Can you find a song called "I Am Shadow" in the discogs release ? If the song have a wrong name you have to change it, so mm can regonize it.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Yes, sometimes it does show this warning, sometimes it doesn't, so it doesn't match the files correctly although the number of tracks is identical.
If the number of tracks are not equal, the script will show this warning. If you select 9 tracks for tagging and the release have 10 tracks, you will see the warning.
If you deselect one track in the upper window, the warning disappear, cause you choose 9 tracks from the release.
Manniger wrote: I also do find the respecitve titles in the discogs release, so that's not the problem. Is there any way to match tracks manually with the discogs release as it is possible with Windows Media Player, for example?
Try the other discogs batch tagger http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brows ... ch-tagger/
With this script you can change the track order

Hi crap_inhuman,

thanks a lot for this great script!
I used it all the way for a longer time sucessfully.

Since the API Change from Discogs and having downloaded the latest Discogs tagger Script therefore I have a problem unfortunately.
Please punish me if I have overseen some helpful hint in this - so I did not read the whole thread here - so my question is:
What is wrong?

After right clicking the the Strg+L "Autotag from Internet" Option and after the hint popup on the API-Change from discogs Internet Explorer popped up, so I gave my account infos. There was a message that this was sucessful. But: then there was an error message in IE primpting the following:

"Could not add accesstoken : Duplicate entry 'MpXOnadkkQqYPjFcKrzXhOtfboDreZsueyecJgsM' for key 'PRIMARY'

End of story. So the tagging does not work after all. Some VB-Error alerts pop up after that. I can give them if this helps.

PS. I guess IE is still neeeded and no other browser can do this, right?

cheers,
Risch

Hi Crap_Inhuman,

thanks for your reply and your help - I couldn't figure out how to change track order but at least I managed to tag the missing tracks - thanks =)

Hi Risch,

please start the script and authorize the script again at discogs. I deleted the duplicate entry.
If the script doesn't ask for authorize, you have to delete the saved access token and the access token secret -> In MediaMonkey open Tools -> Options -> Discogs Tagger. Please delete the access token and the secret. After that, start the script and authorize it.

Greetings,
Sven

Hi Sven,

thanks a lot for your quick reply. :)

Seems that I have produced another duplicate entry right now.
I started to authorize again after the prompt message - so first there was the message that this was successful, ok.
After that the info alert window with the info on the change 'bout the discogs api ("since august the 15th ...") came again and then a second aouthorizing seems to have taken place. Some kind of loop? After that there was the message that there is a duplicate entry again ;/
Tried to find in Tools -> Options -> Discogs Tagger the option to delete the access token and the secret. But unfortunately couldn't. Maybe there is a way to find this in the MediaMonkey Scripts -Folder? Sorry for me being so dumb.

Using MediaMonkey 4.1.11703 here.

And thanks for the info with with your site - good to know :)

cheers,
Risch

Hi again,

I think discogs may have changed something. When tagging albums, the image used for the front cover and folder are very small, almost like it's using what is being used as the thumbnail on the disgocs page. Thought you ought to know so you can check on it.

I can confirm that behaviour. One other thing I've noticed: Since the API change the script doesn't save my settings anymore. For example ticking the checkbox for large cover and then hitting "Save Options" doesn't work anymore. When I try to tag another file the box is again unchecked.

Would be nice if you can try fix that. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for posting the problem !

The cover images now have normal size (not 90x90)

Thank you for posting it. I moved the image settings into the Options menu, but i forget to change it in the result window. The settings will be saved, but not the "Save cover" option.
In the Options menu (Extra -> Options) you can choose:
1. Always save cover-image (the "Save Cover" option is always set in the result window)
2. Save only no cover exist (the "Save Cover" option is set if no cover image for the release exist)
3. Never save cover-image (the "Save Cover" option is always unset in the result window)

These are the defaults, but you can set/unset the "Save Cover" option in the result window, if you temporary want to change it. This option will not be saved if you save the options.

I hope i explained it clearly, so everybody can understand it. If not, please say it

I'm, getting random script errors using the 5.0 version. Couldn't figure out why some songs work flawless and others don't.

For example when I start the script using CTRL+L on the song Nicone, Malonda Let Love Begin Remixed I get this

Image

followed by this

Image

It also happens with other songs. Another example is if I enter manually in the search field c2c happy I get this:

Image

followed by

Image

My guess is that it has something to do with the comma / numbers. Any ideas?

I have the same VBscript errrors.
It seems to only occur when i try to tag new music, every thing i tagged previously seems to work.
