CD Burning Speed

I've got a 40x speed burner, but recently MM will only displays 4x as available. However Nero and other burning apps still let me pick up to 40x. Is this intentional?

No, it isn't intentional and probably not even a bug in MM, it works on my computer. MM shows only values returned by Nero API, it is strange that Nero itself allows you to burn 40x speed, but that's probably a problem in the Nero API. Do you use the latest Nero?
