Hi all

This plugin obviously does not work with the latest iTunes version (11.1) and the developer seems to no longer maintain it. I have just put in a request on the wishlist that the MM developer team takes over support for it: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =4&t=74075 If you support my request, please let the developers know.

Edit: My wishlist request was deleted, so the above link does not work. See previous post for my request.

Regards,

I need sync with iTunes, not with iOS 7 because I'm using iTunes Match to push my music to all my iDevices and for this, the music must be in iTunes.

Exactly. I would be glad to pay for this plugin, perhaps if we collect a list of those who would, the author will fix it for us?

I'd pay for the Itunes plugin as well. I bought MM Gold a long time ago because it DID sync with an ipod. Now I have several Apple devices (iPad and iPhone 5) and was happily keeping my music organized in MM then sending it over to iTunes where I could get it on the devices I actually listen to it on.

Now I'm stuck with the last synch I did, no new music on the "i" devices since and not sure what to do. iTunes mangles the file names, so that's not an option. Apple keeps breaking the native ability of MM to connect.

Other people must have some sort of workaround.

MediaMonkey can still sync to Apple devices like iPod, iPhone and iPad (iTunes needs to be installed in most cases). For iOS7 sync you'll need the latest beta of MediaMonkey 4.1 from the Beta Testing forum.

Thanks. I'm actually synching the ipod and iPad now. It just seemed to stop working when a new version of iTunes or iOS came out, so the addin seemed like it was immune.

New iOS release generally require a new MediaMonkey release. Sometimes this may take a while depending on how much effort Apple has done to make things incompatible. It is best to check the forum before upgrading iOS to see if any version of MediaMonkey is able to sync with it. The same goes for iTunes updates as things can break here too as MediaMonkey uses iTunes components to sync to iOS devices.

Currently iOS7 is supported with the latest beta of MediaMonkey 4.1. However bugs may exist and should be reported in the Beta Testing forum so that they can be addressed by the developers.

Syncing with iDevices directly from MM is one thing, but with iTunes Match, I need my music in iTunes. I can't believe that I'm the only MM user with this requirement.

Hello everyone.

I've not been on here in quite a while. I swapped to a Mac Mini some time ago and have been pursuing the Mac OSX variant of this driver for a while. I have been using the Mac version of iTunes.

I never realised there was an issue with iTunes 11.1 on Windows. I'm quite surprised as Apple have kept the COM interface consistent since I began this several years ago.

I will try and put together my Windows test rig to see if there is anything that I can help with...

Update:

Having put together my test rig I can confirm that the plugin appears to be broken with MM 4.1.0.???? so I think that the MM developers have changed something.
I reverted to MM 4.0.7.1511 and iTunes that I had working from before. It worked fine as expected.
I then upgraded to iTunes 11.1 freshly downloaded to day and that worked fine as well.
This is with a later version of my plugin 4.0.3.2397 which has a handful of OSX orientated fixes in it.

Can somebody confirm the version numbers of MM, iTunes and d_itunes that are giving them problems please?

Hi markstuartwalker

Thank you for getting back to the forum!

I cannot test before the weekend and will let you know which configuration does not work. At the moment I have the following config and it works:
MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1511
d_itunes4.dll 4.0.4.2438
iTunes 10.7.0.21 (64 bit)

I upgraded to 11.1.x (don't know exactly which version), but had to go back because it didn't work. MM and d_itunes4.dll were at the same version.

However, if you look some posts above, the configuration mentioned there does not work for at least two users: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 70#p375554

OK,

I have aligned my test to
iTunes 11.1.1.11 64 bit
MM 4.0.7.1511
d_itunes 4.0.4.2438
Windows 7 64 bit

... it works with the 3 tracks that I loaded
Windows 7,8 / Ubuntu 13.10 / Mavericks 10.9 / iOS 7.1 / iTunes 11.1

Does anyone know if this works with Mark's set-up except using the MM beta?

I can actually synch my iOS 7.03 iphone 5 right now with the native program, but really prefer Marks add-in..

When I try it, highlighting the add-in to start the process shuts down MM. I don't start the auto-sync, MM just crashes.

As I reported in my post (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 70#p374764) except for a minimum iTunes minor update difference I have the same configuration and the plugin doesn't work.

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1511
d_itunes4.dll 4.0.4.2438
iTunes 11.1.0.126 (64 bit)

@clanoz I am using a later iTunes version. I know that it is a long shot!

@vb1953 are you using MM4.1 beta. I have a question pending about this now as this seems to fail catastrophically. http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11406
