come here, buggy, buggy (= add new cd in Now Playing list)

Post by Felix Atagong »

1st: Congratulations :D and celebrations...

2nd: found a small bug in MM2:
A: Put in a new cd that started playing automatically, showing track1, track2, etc... as the album was not yet recognised.
B: My computer, drive D, 'Add tracks to the library' (after recognision)
C: Back to 'Now Playing' node mentions title 2 to 11 of the album, together with the artist, but leaves track1 (that was playing at that moment) unrecognised (still called track1) and no artist.

Stopping the play back and choosing the album from artist of album node gives the complete tracklisting.

It's a small bug, but I found it! 8)

Hmm, just inserted another new cd. But this time the track-info wasn't taken from the cd itself but from Freedb. By adding the tracks to the library, track 1 is updated with the title information. So the bug may only appear when info from the cd itself is put into the database and only then track 1 is not updated in the 'Now Playing' node.

Up till now I have had this error 2 times - but just now - hoping that I was going to recreate it - it didn't happen??? :( The now playing track 1 field has been neatly filled in using the cd:

The error came again. After recognition by Freedb and Add tracks to the library the 'now playing' node only shows track1, 2, 3 and so on and not the just imported track-titles. This happened with a cd that had 2 entries in Freedb, but I can't remember anymore if I took the first or the 2nd one.

This error only happens 1 time out of a hundred, but it happens...

I had few of that cases and solved them with third party program called LD CD Player (Disks.TXT Player) Or Audio Grabber 1.82.2 for reading CD-Text and writing them to CDPlayer.ini. Then FreeDB off in MM, Add CD and then enable Freedb.
