Sync with iPod based on Genre?

Is it possible to synchronise an iPod with all tracks that contain a specified genre?

Only a subset of my tracks fit on the iPod so what I currently do is tag tracks I want on the iPod with an additional genre then automatically synch those tracks with my iPod. If I get more tracks I want on the iPod I put that genre in the tag, remove it from the tracks I want to remove, synchronise and Bob's your Uncle - the old tracks are removed and the new tracks transferred...well, that's how it works with Sveta and dAP.

Will Media Monkey, presumably Gold, do that?

Yes, MM will do that, plus more.
You basicially set up an auto-playlist and then sync that auto-playlist to your iPod.
This will also work in the non-registered version.

After years of use it looks like I'm finally going to move away from dAP which is a shame as I've enjoyed using it. Unfortunately the dAP suite hasn't kept up in terms of tag handling hence the move. This is the first programme I've come across that is at least as functional - it's a nice piece of work.

Even better. I registered it anyway as I always like to support software I use regularly.
