Synchonise

Post by erwin »

I want to synchronise all mp3's with another hard disk drive (same way you would with an USB drive or Ipod or Mp3 player)

I want to keep an exact copy of all mp3s for backup reason .

This is possible using the USB plug-in, it can be configured to be used with any drive letter.

Synchronize with Hard disk

To elaborate on Jiri's comment:

1) Map a drive letter to the intended directory using Windows (see: http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... 82&sd=tech )

2) Configure the Generic USB Plugin to synchronize to that drive (see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/webhelp/n ... ration.htm )

Hi!

this does not seem to work for me with IDE-Drives? Why?

I can configure a USB2 drive but not an IDE dirve. I've tried that with different ones and on a different PC.
IDE drives simply do not appear. After klicking on "find device" in "device configuration" there comes an Device ID but the device does not appear as the nod.

Don't use find device, just select the drive letter above, that's it.
