Re: Story Songs
no i don't believe "I'm my own grandpa" fits that discription..
lonzo and oscar did the song about him finding a girl then
his dad finding the girls daughter and making the mess out of the grandpa line.
he was not happy about the way it all turned out.
and he was not blaming the girl but his dad for it.
wouldn't the song "welcome to my world" be a better fit? maybe not it's just another guess.

Sounds LIke song called Kiss'es Sweeter then Wine. by I Think Johnny Horton.Lightbee wrote:Good one Solitaire001. "Jim Stafford showed the value of punctuation with his song "My Girl, Bill" or is it "My Girl Bill"?" Definitely has a different meaning each way.
Have another song for y'all. Here goes: A guy finds a girl, marries her, becomes a father, becomes a grandfather, and it is all her fault. He blames her the whole way through the song and even the title gives the reason he blames her.

Although it's not a specifically a story song, the Shankus song brought this one to mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCwYve87iKAtosarge wrote:Thanks Dreadlau, that was worth the click.

Re: Story Songs
This is a terrific song. It caught the edited version as the closing theme for the early episodes of the anime series "Bleach" and had to find it on CD (its available on the first Bleach soundtrack collection). Rei Fu has a terrific voice and I hope her albums will be released in the U. S.kirbie wrote:I like the song of Rie Fu which is Life is like a boat. It tackles about the ups and downs that we take before we reach our goals or success.
Re: Story Songs
I really like this song used in the1st season; it's just so soothing and calm. Though i'm not quite good at Japanese, to me Rie Fu is not like a typical Jpop artist..
