iTunes 10.5

Post by eric.stephani »

Has anyone tried to sync an iPhone after installing iTunes 10.5. I installed it, and now my device doesn't show up at all in MM.

I believe it works fine with the latest beta build of MM. I haven't tried it, but it's in the changelog

Same here. 10.5 and the iPhone isn't available anymore in MM. iOS is stell the same, that means no IOS5 at the moment.

This (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 12&t=61107) is really a pity. I thought, that you worked on it since the last betas from iOS5 and iTunes 10.5 and that MM is ready as of global availability of this versions. :(

MM does not have access to developer builds of iOS, because they would have to violate the TOS in order to get what they need.

Well, I am hopeful that they will fix the current version so that it syncs.

I'm in an environment where I don't know what version of iOS is running on the device inserted. What does MM do when it sees iOS5 or device sync'ed with iTunes 10.5? Does it fail to read/sync or does it do worse - corrupt the device if you try to sync?

See above. With still iOS4, but only iTunes 10.5, MM does not have the iDevice in its sync-device list anymore.

It will warn you that your device's firmware is not supported.

Till a couple of days back, am a happy user of MM3.2.5 free, to load and manage music on my Iphone 4 (still on IOs4, best I can tell.) Dumb me for not checking compatibility before, but I upgrade to Itunes 10.5. Now due to the incomaptibility of MM with Itunes 10.5, i downgrade back to Itunes 10.4 and with some manuvering (http://technicallyeasy.net/2009/03/rest ... /#comments) I get my itunes library back.
MM still does not recognise my Iphone4.
what should I do? D/l MM beta4?
My first post in this forum, and I think MM is a fantastic product for people like me who are anal about their music. Allows me to keep my library EXACTLY the way I want it. Will consider going GOLD soon as I see how quickly MM supports Iphone iOS5. Becasue iOS5 is a must have, but i'm willing to postpone the pleasure till you clever guys figure a solution.

Thanks in advance

I have been synching IP4 using MM but since IOS and itunes update all songs not in itunes are no longer playable on iphone.
I see that synching is not yet possible with MM4 beta, but is there any way to get the songs already on iphone to play again?
Presumably they will have to be moved to itunes somehow. Or can the new beta version get the old music recognised again?
