Pause between song

Post by pl5bnsf »

Any ideas on this? I want to have a short pause of say 1 or 2 seconds between songs being played back. But....

- Only pause between songs if it's a song change during playlist playback
- No pause when I manually change songs
- No fading, just end the playback normally, pause a second or two, then continue with the next song

This is probably needs a scripting solution, but I have not seen a way to be able to detect 'normal end of song'.

Yep, I have put off asking this because every seach I have done looking for a similar solution found all those people trying to do the opposite!!!!!!

I just like a little breather after a song I really like. Especially since I almost always randomize my playlist. It can be jarring to end a slow song then a fast song jumps in.

well off hand i would say try to adjust the wave device to take longer amounts of time when it does the preloading of the songs between them.

got to the options and find the output device used and configure it by moving the sliders on it there should be an added gap the longer you want it to preload the next song.

should be but might not be on fast cpu's?
