1256 Writing to disc or track tags often fails

Post by M3wThr33 »

I often clear out the track and disc number from many of my songs. However, they only seem to disappear in Media Monkey. All the other data and information gets synced, except the disc/track removal. I have to manually set them to 1 (Not 0) and then clear them out before they get properly erased.

Other programs like Winamp and iTunes show them, and additionally the Total Tracks and Total Disc numbers.

I wonder if this is related to the fact that "Unsynchronized tags" overlooks track and discnumber. OOI, what format?

Mp3s.

Also, because MM doesn't handle the Total disc#/track#, that can't even be cleared out.

Well, that doesn't exactly make it a bug. That's more of a feature request.

I think it is fair to call it a bug i.e. deficiency. On 1256 if you empty the Disc field, MM does not empty the disc tag e.g.:
