Very impressive :) , it's not a color scheme for me but I like the player without the skin. If I could change the background of the player it would work very well with my selected skin. Hint, Hint

I am seriously running out of room with all these panels... :(

I couldn't get the Monkey Rok zip to unzip though, I get the invalid zip error.

New Version

' 09-08-08 Version 1.1
' Fixed switch panel refresh
' Fixed timer unregister
' Renamed background image

@ Nynaevelan
I'm glad I tested it before giving instructions :P

Make a new directory ...Scripts\PlayerPanel\Nyn New Background
Copy everything from ...Scripts\PlayerPanel\World of Warcraft to the new directory
Edit Scripts\PlayerPanel\Nyn New Background\Body_bg.png change the colour to whatever backgroud you want and save it
Restart MM and select "Nyn New Background" from the panel drop down

I tried the MR zip and it works fine :( What unzipper do you use?

Here is a winzip version

These instructions would work if I was changing the background of the skin, I guess. My intention was to change the background of the panel. But I figured it out, I just changed it in the main directory not the custom directory.

I downloaded 7-zip yesterday, maybe that is the problem. I'll uninstall and go back to winzip and see if I have better luck.

One problem though, when I install the player panel, my songs start skipping, I have to uninstall it to get continuous playback. :-?

EDIT: Well it's been a while since it happened to me, so I forgot about it. The problem with the zip is caused by that d*^% IE, it worked when I used Firefox to download it.

Huh?
The panel is controlled by tools --> options --> skin
only the html part (centre of the panel) is controlled by the dropdown directory

Can you elaborate on this? I can't reproduce it

I followed your instructions and the background of the skin itself was changed, as long as I had the skin active. I don't have the skin active, I only want to use the player panel itself, and that is the one that I wanted changed to the custom background. See:

Playback freezes and it gets caught in some kind of loop. The song will keep repeating the same portion of the track, I have to shut down MM to get rid of it. It doesn't happen with every song but often enough that it is annoying. Now keep in mind my 'puter is used for many programs at once, so I do not know if the loop is because the script is having a hard time keeping the focus of the computer, but I only started having this problem after installing the panel and it goes away when I uninstall it.

I haven't had the freezes since I rebooted so maybe whatever was causing the problem was 'puter related. :-? I'll let you know if it reoccurs.

Doggonit!!! I tried to resize the panel and all he%% broke loose, problems back.

The panel looks perfect? "skin" = agora and you modified Body_bg.png of the "player" to suit
Sorry I'm still not sure I understand. Maybe your use of the terms skin vs player html

[edit] found the real bug

Ah I got it now, I resized and got the same prob will have a look

[EDIT] No easy fix at this stage. If you need to resize the panel pause the track first. :(
This is not how I wanted to handle it in the first place; see my post here

Can't fix it yet (need some javascript help) but it can be avoided if you pause the track before resizing the panel

Hey:

As expected your Warcraft theme was able to pull my son away from iTunes. :D Of course now I'll have to answer all his questions on how to use MM. :-?
Now if I could only get him to organize his library...

Re: Player Panel v1.2 (14-08-08) [MM3]

Post by MoDementia »

New Version

' 14-08-08 Version 1.2
' Fixed loop when resizing panel
' Added Now Playing and Equaliser toggle buttons
' Fixed Equaliser sliders

Unfortunately it required considerable modifications to the Player.html and Player.css and additional images NowPlayingOn.png and EqualiserOn.png
which means that if you have made a new player it should also be upgraded.

If its a minor change then making it again might not be too bad; however I am happy to fix anyones player to work with version 1.2

Hopefully this was the last major core change and future updates won't require changes to existing players.
