cause i got that much in 3 years one at a time. and i know you aint doing it all day like did. :o
A couple of years ago I put just over 18000 tracks onto my system, one CD at a time over a 3 week period. I sort of cheated though by using 4 computers at once with EAC in Burst Copy (Test & Copy) mode - verifying with checksum.

That was not an experience I want to relive... completely no social life during that time. The rest have been ripped at a far more sedate pace.

Mine is currently at 155,808. That is 837.7 GB all on one drive. I add about a gig a day, on average.

Every single song is tagged correctly (year, album artwork, track numbers, etc) and I even go so far as to add every genre to every artist as according to wikipedia.

I get the vast majority of it from torrents, and anyone who downloads from bittorrent knows that some of them can be wildly incorrect, needing some serious cleaning to be tagged correctly. That was a bitch with iTunes, but now with the spectacular MM what would take me an hour takes a few minutes. I'll never use anything else.

I would most certainly fall into that group of "pirate hoarders." I've listened to music my whole life. I've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on albums, concert tickets, and merch. I'm of the mentality that I've paid my dues (and even if I hadn't) the time is right for the pickings. If there is the chance someday that all this good p2p file sharing comes to an end, at least I'll have collected my fair share. Screw the record companies. I'll still go to shows, still buy merch, but I'll never, ever buy another CD again--as long as that's feasibly possible

15672 Tracks
756 Artists
1261 Albums
95.4 GB
Only converted over to MM Yesterday as I finally got sick of itunes & someone recommended trying this. Still finding my feet, but love what I see so far. Easy to see what of my music I own on CD as I burnt all 360 of them ~2 years ago using the itunes' default setting (did not know about bit rates back then ). One of these days I will dig them back out of the loft and redo them. So ~400albums at 128kbps AAC, most of the rest at 256 vbr mp3.

I spent over ten years accumulating mine, Cowboy. For 3 of that 10 years I searched for a player that would handle all the data. Tried, WMP, Real Player, Music Match, Jukebox, Roxio, etc, etc. NOT! Then I found Media Monkey about 2 years ago. Felt like I died and went to heaven. Now I'm married to it! It's highly "under-advertised" and is THE ONLY product on the market worth having.

75,000 and growing daily

Working for an internet radio station added another 25,000.

Now if I removed all of my duplicates, I'm running around 45,000 individual tracks.

Just purchased 500gb drive and I am starting to load it. with everything.

The numbers presented, do not include cassette's (another 15,000 songs).

Everything is catalogued in a database application that I created for my own personal use.

I don't know how many songs, but I've got about 160GB of mp3's, flac's and ape's on my hard drive(s) and then aside from that I have about 1000 commercial cd's and about 500 downloaded burned cd's.

So, maybe 20-30k songs?
