Sampling rate

Does Songs DB have the ability to change the sampling rate of MP3 files?

When you convert a song to MP3 it isn't possible to choose the sampling rate, because this conversion is made by lame encoder and it chooses a suitable one for the selected bitrate. Do you have any special reason for changing the sampling rate?
