DreadM wrote:Yes, since MM version 1632 it's possible to change this text color,
open theme.mskn with ThemeEditor7 and change the color under "Fonts/WindowTextNormal"
I tried this tonight with the Vision and Helium Dark skins. I changed both colors to black and there was no change when I opened them in MM. Is there more to it?

Awesome skin, im really loving it!

Just one small question tho,

is it possible to hide the album art at the bottom left corner (the one with the glow, thats inside the player)?
I prefer seeing the album art window at my bottom left corner, because it's bigger and has no glow.
Because i have both located at the bottom left, theres two of the same images on top of eachother.

apart from that, i love it!

Wow DreadM, that worked wonders. u da man! :D
thx for the quick response

say, 1 last request, is it hard to program the skin so, that not the player is fully extended, but the media tree?
so that it would look like this:

Image

This small detail would make it perfect to me

I havent seen a skin yet that has the player like that, so i hope it's possible.
if its too much of a hassle: just leave it be. im already loving ur skin anyways^.^

just open the player.ini again and change

Code: Select all

DockLock=1
to

Code: Select all

DockLock=0
and move the player where you want .
this should do what you expect
but elements on bottom from Theme frame don't looks right now,
because it's designed to have docked player at bottom!

Caedendi please can you tell me what OS you run,
i ask because your top Tab displays correct ,
but not on my Win8 system, :-?

lol its just that easy >.>

the only thing thats inconsistent is the volume bar, which is in the middle of the player instead of the screen, but i can live with that.
if it eventually starts to bother me, ill just switch back to the way u designed it^.^

as for my OS: im using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
im kind of a windows 8 hater :D

I really like this skin, but I've been having this problem lately where some song information is displayed in black text, making it unreadable. See the example here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12824549/mmsnip.JPG

Is there any way to fix this? Or are there any song properties that would make them display differently?

Edit: When I click on one of the songs in black font, the font becomes the normal color.

There appears to be some strange bug that happens only with this skin:

If you leave playback paused for more than about 15 minutes and then hit the stop button, seek bar doesn't reset to it's default position.

Ludek, of the MediaMonkey Support was able to replicate this and advised to contact the author of the skin.

I'm not sure what dreadm can do unless he added some sort of coding to his skin. the skins are just simple image replacements in the files. with some ini files you can modify to make information show in the player. the font color issue is one that has been around since beginning of this skin style and is caused by some sort of memory issue from ms blocking use or changing of certain fonts. but the pausing issue I've never seen. I'm thinking it might be caused by the computer's audio cache being dumped after a long time of non use. I've seen some issues with the dumping of the cdrom cache so maybe that might be the cause. because I believe the seek bar is controlled by the amount of data placed in the cache that fills it up and shoves the seek bar like a float in a water tank is moved up by the water, and it gets stuck at times if the water is dumped fast at once leaving the float hanging. something like this is what I'm thinking is going on with the code to move the seek bar. :-?

As I see it, if this was a system issue, the issue would show no matter what skin is used. But, according to Ludek, no other skin is affected by this.

Some skins are heavy use on cpu cycles due to lots of scripts added to the player skin this also raises the temperature of the cpu by 2 degrees as compared to skins with less scripts added in the msz file. So some might trigger the dump while others won't. This might only be trouble on single core units. Or low ram units. Now the skin doesn't have to be the one that has the scripts it can have 1 or 2 and the user could have added many others. That would have the same effect. I'm not sure if you are getting this but it is a good possibility. I as you might know have had tons of strange errors over the past 10 yrs and did find most were caused by stuff like this. It seems off the wall but when I delt with it the errors were gone. Needless to say but I've gone to having extreme amounts of ram and tons of cooling fans on my systems I defragment the jukebox daily and run cleaners to keep it up and running. I am doing the same with the other systems but on a weekly basis. With 6 systems nowadays I'm not going anywhere for long only the software and parts stores.

My laptop has a 2-core processor, 4GB RAM. The system is Windows 7 x64.

Other add-ons are InlineLyrics, LyricTimer, Backup, CodecPack Trial.

Did you try to replicate this yourself?
