Converting MM2 player skins to MM3

blake i thought you were doing what morten thought in making them to the new player same shape as the new one.

this message has be voided since peke did not include the images in the mskn file.

yes that is just what i was telling blake to use.

blake just make two sets of play buttons then call one button play, the other button pause

hey peke spill the beans how did you get that player to show
with out putting the files in the mskn file?

come on peke i went to make an old skin that my sister wants to use in to the new version and there was no player in there?

she's told me to remove media monkey if she can't use the same old skin she has now. so come on spill the beans.

some one get a light to put over him.

we know where your email is at peke. come on be a good team player and let us in on how to make that skin show. or tell us that blake has to do the recodeing of it.

OK OK, Will make small example this weekend, petr and me was talking to make Template to convert WA Classic skins to MSKN For use in MM3 and due to changes to Player skin engine it never come to light. Pushed when MM3 become more stable.

Great, that means all current conversion work has been stopped for the time being and I no longer have a job for the rest of the school holidays. But really, that is no problem at all... I could start work on another skin. Or I could just play Monopoly...

Well if you're taking requests I've always wanted to see a light-orange skin! Perhaps if you don't want to I will learn the skinning engine some day.

I have modified the Royal Blue skin to orange but I haven't uploaded separately yet, but I have uploaded it with all of the other modified ones.

As told I have made something this weekend and it can be found here

It's not finished But I Used Old Aqua for player Skin which can be used as Template for converting Winamp Classic Skins to work with MM3.

Note: Regarding Player Skin. I'm not 100% sure but changing Images in Player Skin with one you have extracted from Winamp Skin should work. Images in Player skin are same filename as extracted from Winamp Skin.

Of course not all MM3 skins should resemble the MM2 ones, in contrary, but converting the v2 skins to v3 can give a smoother transition in the beginning.

i agree with morten too bright in the list views.
needs to be more of a pumkin orange in there not a bright one
but a dark one like the dark stripe and you need to go in and the font area and set the fonts up one or two sizes.

and get rid of the stripe on the list view make it solid color if you want to.

but it is possible to put an image on that mm 3 list view area. get my trucking monkey skin or the blues monkey look in there for the way i put the
images in them small long narrow images.

i'll make it easier then unzipping the skin i'll post the image i stripe on the wiki.

you need to use a seemless image for best results.
