WMA-files vs bad album sorting

Post by JeffZwolle »

When adding files to the library, MediaMonley puts each WMA-file that belongs to the same album in a different album-folder in the library.
This seems to be happening only to WMA-files.
The WMA-files have been created without DRM using VBR 98, long before I first started using Media Monkey.
The tag containing the name of the album is the same in every file that belongs to the same album.
This problem does not happen with other media players using the same source for media files.

The problem can be reproduced.
The same problem happens on different Windows 10 installations (each using MediaMonkey), using the same source for media files.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Is this a known problem that (still) needs to be resolved?
Is there a workaround available?

Make sure the Album Artist tag is the same for all files on the Album.
