Access Violation in mediamonkey.exe in CD/DVD burning wizard

Post by Timpanogos Slim »

Sometimes when i need to edit an overly long or otherwise noncompliant filename in the disc burning wizard, when i click on the name highlighted in red to edit it, the text disappears and an Access Violation popup appears.

I guess i don't have access to attach files so here's a shot showing the a file name that does this:

And here's the error:

I'm using MM Gold 4.1.20.1864, on windows 10 64bit. i think i first saw this issue about 6 months ago? I forget how or if i resolved it then.

I'm not sure if you're meant to edit the filename directly. You should edit the Mask. Change the <Title> part to $Left(<Title>,10) where 10 is the number that removes the red highlight (full Path is 64 characters max).

Which version? I said I'm using Media Monkey Gold 4.1.20.1864 -- latest afaik.

Yeah, i meant to edit the filename itself, which used to always work fine.
