Using 4.0.5.1496
1. Go to Tools -> Options -> Library -> Media Tree
2. Uncheck "Search results"
3. Click OK
4. Search for something in your database
5. Notice that "Search Results" is back in your Media Tree
6. Go to Tools -> Options -> Library -> Media Tree
7. Notice that "Search Results" is still unchecked.
The only way I have found to remove the "Search Results" node from the Media Tree is to go into Options each time
"Search result" node keeps reappearing

Re: "Search result" node keeps reappearing
Yes, it will only be hidden if you don't search. It's like Collection nodes which have an option to be shown only when they contain content. Search works the same way and only shows when used.

Re: "Search result" node keeps reappearing
How do I easily remove the search-node when I reappears?
Re: "Search result" node keeps reappearing
Right click on a search result node in the Search node and select Remove, repeat for all results listed.
