question about using beta versions

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I haven't used any MM beta versions before and I can't find an answer elsewhere in the forum.

I want to use the latest beta so I can sync my iPhone that is now on iOS 7. Is there a way to point the beta version to my existing MM database/setup or do I have to recreate my collections, playlists, and subscribed podcasts in the beta version? Thanks!

If you install the beta on top of your existing it will use the database and settings (settings where compatible). If you do a separate (Portable Install) you can copy the database to use it.
