[IOS7] Iphone 5 [#10979]

Post by Musa »

Hello,

I tried to sync my iphone freshly updated with IOS7 beta 1 but when i launched MM it says that my iphone firmware isn't compatible with this version of mediamonkey.

Could you please check if the plugin still works with ios7?

Thanks

BTW: We haven't tested iOS7 yet, but I wonder if you would like to try it?

I modified d_iPhone.dll so that it accepts also iOS7, so if Apple hasn't changed anything related to sync (like it was between iOS5 and iOS6) then it should work with this DLL:
http://www.filedropper.com/diphone

You can test it by downloading most current MMW build (4.1.0.1642) and replace /Plugins/d_iPhone.dll by the downloaded one from filedropper.

Thanks for the update!

Seems to work great with MMW build 4.1.0.1643, the new d_iphone.dll with my iphone 5 - IOS7 beta 1

What have I tested:
- sync new songs in an existing playlist (worked)
- sync new playlist (worked)
- remove playlists (worked)
- remove songs (worked)

I'm trying to find the way to set a ranking (stars) to my songs on the iphone to sync it but I can't see the options anymore in the new music app... maybe we need to wait for the beta 2

Thanks again!

With build #1644 the sync don't work properly. New tracks aren't playable even if I can see them on my iphone.
I did a fresh sync with itunes and re-sync again to test but it don't work.

I put the build #1643 back with the dll and now it's working again.

Tested with IOS 7 beta 2 on iphone 5

Note that 1644 may not have come with an updated iOS7 dll (thus putting the one linked here may be needed).

I just checked, and 1644 should has the same dll as the special one for 1643. Could you please confirm whether the difference is cause by the different builds (1643 vs. 1644), even if using the same dll?

Thanks,
Jiri

I'm also trying to sync to IOS7. The filedropper link is now dead. Can you reupload?

You don't need the DLL anymore, it should work fine with the latest builds (1644 and higher)
