Does Portable install use relative paths?

Post by mgillespie »

My REALLY big problem with MM has been the inability to import/export the sync lists, so my desktop and laptop both had different ideas about what was sync'd and what needed to be sync'd, even thou they were looking at the same network media store.

The portable install allows me to work around this, as the database can live whereever it wants, so it makes sense to run MM from where the media is stored.

However does it use relative paths for the media location, or absolute?

i think this could help you.

Chapter: Updating the database to point to the correct drive

MM uses drive IDs to find the correct drive.
