NOTREP Went back to version 3.0.6.1190 and
this is wierd. After reverting back from MM 3.1, what appears as a drop down box is covering my File, Edit, View menu items so I cannot access them.

you sure you got all the stuff out of the registry that was put in there by 3.1 ?
when you revert like that you should always do a registry clean out to make sure everything is got rid of
from the version you took out.
then reinstall the version you want.
i think that is what might be causing your hidden view menu's

okay go to the http://www.majorgeeks.com find registry cleaner called RegScrubVistaXp
it will work on both xp and vista computers. if you have something else then look for one that will work on your computer make sure its a free one, i like free.
just install the program and run it's scan, it will find anything out of whack in the registry and fix it. which is mainly a missing file for the hotkey which it then deletes the hotkey and lets the program remake it if the program is used again. some hotkeys get stuck and won't uninstall by the programs uninstall file so a registry cleaning program is needed for finding the stuck hotkeys. think of it like you looking in a phone book for a building that is listed at a street address but when you look at that address its a vacant lot, so you toss that address in the trash cause its not there. the registry cleaner does the same with stuck hotkeys,
address but no file = toss out address hotkey.
some strange errors happen when there are too many left over or stuck hotkeys.

Re: Went back to version 3.0.6.1190 and
I chose to uninstall MM 3.0.6.1190 before trying to clean the registry and then found the RegScrubVistaXP too complicated for me. So I reinstalled Mm 3.0.6.1190 and the File-Edit-View items are now unobstructed. That problem is solved for me, thanks.
