I've used MMW and MMA 4.x forever on laptops, desktops, and androids (successfully). But I'm having problems with MM5.
My music is on 2 USB drives attached to my router (half-assed NAS). I created a new mm.db on my laptop using the UNC instead of the mapped drive names. Ideally, desktop and laptop will each have their own MM.db. The scan took right off (I've got about 40,000 items).
When I list music by artist, it looks like every file with a non-blank composer field lists the composer beside the artist (delimited by a ";") in the artist field. I don't think I can fix it without rescanning. What's the trick?
Why is this tag being displayed? Should I have picked different scan options?

Which build of MediaMonkey (Help > About) and what File Type(s)?
Are you saying the information is picked up from the Filename?

It looks like your scanning from a DLNA Server, thus the tags are provided by that DLNA Server. There is nothing MediaMonkey can change on how the DLNA Server read the files tags.
