Changing output device stops music playing?

Post by JohnSmith71 »

I'm finding that if I change output device on my PC, e.g. from speakers to headphones, or (for the headphones) from hands free audio (for calls) to stereo, MM5 stops playing.

Starts again on the same track readily enough, but a bit annoying that I have to do this.

Is there a reason for, and a fix for this?

Which Build (Help > About) are you using and which Output Plug-in (Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins) are you using?

If not MediaMonkey DirectSound does the problem persist when you switch to it?

Build is 5.01.2433, latest version.

MediaMonkey WASAPI output.

If I switch to DirectSound, it doesn't persist, and this survives a restart.

If I then switch from DirectSound back to WASAPI, it also doesn't persist, but on restart, the same problem.
