"Server error: _checkAuthValidity error 404" while connecting to MMS

I'm doing another test round with a clean install of MM5 and MMS.
I'm not able to get MM5 talking to MMS.
I added MMS and it shows up under "Devices & Services".
When I click on "Configure" or "Migration Wizard" I get "Server error: _checkAuthValidity error 404".

MM5 and MMS are running on the same machine. I can connet to MMS via browser.

Any suggestions?

Have you recently changed the password? Is the error a dialog from MMW5 or shown in the browser (for Configure)?

Which password? I just installed MM5 and extracted MMS. Started both programs without any password.

MMS requires a login for me.

For me this opens: http://IP:Port/web and it asks for a login (MMS on QNAP).

if I open http://IP:Port/web the Dashboard shows up - no password required.
Where did you set the password?

My build is 0.3.1, which may explain why. 0.2.2 seems the last published version: viewtopic.php?p=456193#p456193

I can confirm that MMS 0.2.2 does not show the problem I described in my first post.
Maybe you should update the link to MMS in this post (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=86639&sd=d) which points to MMS 0.2.1.
In the end it was my fault to use an old build of MMS.
