I'm not aware of such feature in MM 4.0 at least I have not found one.

You mean the little "speaker" icon in front of the current playing track?
That sure would be handy.
Only trade-off is that it eats a little bit of the space. :/

Yeah, but one could turn it on/off maybe. It just seems like a really quick way to see which track is playing, especially if you're scrolling. I personally don't want to change color or increase font of Now Playing track which leaves the current bolding.
