Where do we publish MM5 skins/extensions?

Post by drakinite »

I remember there being a page on the website to download MM4 skins. Is there a place yet for us to upload/publish MM5 skins and extensions? Or should I just post them here?

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.

Using https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... ey-5-beta/ is fine
There is 'Submit addon' button though it is almost invisible (as it has black font on the dark blue canvas) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/k8k47ar9cn6zq ... 4.png?dl=0

We are already working on the web issues (and the MM4 vs MM5 addons structural issues )

Nice, thanks!

Is there a way to edit my addon submission after I upload it? For example, if I want to change the support link in the future?

Yes--you can do so via the same interface. You'll see the options once you add it.

Btw, the way it's currently set up, any old user can view the entire filetree of https://www.mediamonkey.com/addon_system/ - Might not be great for security.

Though, it is pretty cool to see the whole history of uploaded files.

edit: I was being bad and I intentionally uploaded some crap files to test what stuff the server will and won't accept. If you care about deleting the crap files, in https://www.mediamonkey.com/addon_system/repository/ there are some with the names "not-an-mmip" (e.g. not-an-mmip.txt); as well as https://www.mediamonkey.com/addon_syste ... d/test.jpg .
It might be a good idea to check the mimetype of the files before they're saved, because when attempting to load test.jpg in a test submission I made, it caused a PHP error. (test.jpg is just a renamed text file.)
