MMA no casting Volkswagen infotainment

Post by Abel75 »

Good evening.
I am a user of MMW 5.0.0.2310 and MMA Gold 1.4.3.0948.
I have both libraries synced perfectly between Win 10 and Android 11 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S7).
MMW and MMA Library work perfectly, being able to UPnP from the Tablet to the PC Library. Everything works perfectly.
But, when I try to Casting to Tiguan volkswagen infotainment (network carrier and with the Tablet connected to the network) the IP of tiguan volkswagen infotainment appears, I tell it to connect, it says it is connected, but the music does not enter the Tiguan volkswagen infotainment.
Any solution?
Are the systems incompatible?
Is there an application that helps?
Thanks for your attention.

Hi,
It all depends on connection. I had an issue with Suzuki Vitara (2017) that had ton of issues with Android phones and connection, chromecast or Android Auto was not available and only Limited features on BT audio, they ended up replacing me as Android Auto capable Head Unit infotainment was additionally paid but they installed older unit with CarPlay only. Took almost a year of persuading and a threat of law suit.

Brief search found this https://www.motorbiscuit.com/does-the-n ... roid-auto/ so please check at your dealer and what options you have in infotainment system and you need full Android Auto WiFi or at least when USB Connected.

Good Afternoon.
I appreciate the prompt response.
My Volkswagen Infotainment has android auto (working only by USB cable).
But in the connection functions it has the possibility to connect by Wifi.
Using BubbleUPnP for DLNA works.
So I thought it was strange that it doesn't work with MMA. That's why I posted the question.

Hi,
That explains it, BubbleUPnP have DLNA server MMA do not, it can be Client but not Server eg. You can pull from DLNA Server like second phone with BubbleUPnP but you can't pull tracks from MMA :(

Wonder how MMA behaves on Android Auto over USB.

Good evening.
In USB MMA works perfectly.
By the way, another question: is there any prediction that MMA will have a DLNA server ?
