Unsupported format(1) during Sync

Post by calonzo »

I downloaded 3 new songs from Amazon on my phone and then tried to Sync them to MMW.

It synced 2 of the 3 and now continuously get this error:

Unsupported format(1)

20210226 091932

Do these numbers mean anything? How do I know which file it is complaining about?

The screenshot wouldn't show any more information than what I put on the post.

What are you looking for?

Hi,
I suspect that dialog is not from MM or that file is locked, but ⋮ -> About MediaMonkey -> Send logs -> Write log ID here -> Ok will show what MMA see.

Also opening support ticket and supplied DL link to those 3 files would help us to see if format is really unsupported (I UL to google Drive from phone and on PC create share DL links)

Thanks.

I found this in the log:

03-03 16:50:19.312: W/com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey.sync.ms.u(22129): Playlist Added from Samsung SM-G960U - SD card on 2021-03-01 contains unsupported types, so it won't be synchronized.[c():870]

I didn't see a playlist with this name, but when I looked at the "Recently Added" playlist, it contained a file called "20210226_091932" which is an .mp4 file. It was a video I took with my phone. That number matches the number I saw on the error message, but I had no idea it was an MP4 file so I didn't know to look for a file with that name.

The weird thing is that the file exists on MMW already, so it seems it is synced. But I didn't need that video anyway, so I deleted it from MMW and ran the sync again, and the sync did not report any errors this time and the file is gone from the playlist on the phone.

If you still want the full log, I can upload it to GDrive.
