[SOLVED] Adding track from search bar to playlist without playing

Post by Jeffr »

Hi,

On Android, is it possible to add a track from search bar to a playlist whilst another track is playing - without disrupting the currently playing track?

When I select a track from the search bar to add to a playlist, the current track stops and the track to be added to the playlist starts, but I want the track currently playing to play out before the next track being selected/added to the playlist starts.

Thanks,
Jeff

Do you mean from the search results drop when typing the search or the search results in the main screen?

Try long pressing the file and you should see options in the bottom of the screen including an option to add it to a Playlist.

Hi Lowlander,

Thanks for your reply. I from the search results drop.

The keystrokes on my Android would be...
1. I'm playing a song.
2. From the top search bar I enter some artist name.
3. I click on an album
4. I click on a track
5. If I click and hold, the track tags with the tick on the right hand
6. I've just discovered the playlist options that appear at the foot of the page.

I previously hadn't pressed and held as I thought that would more likely interrupt the current track and play.

Thanks so much.
