Some duplicate mp3 in list

Post by schwallobert »

Hello,
some music files (mp3) appear double in search results. However, they physically exist just one time on external_sd.
For example, I have four different physical files of CCR "Bad moon rising" but MMA shows 6 versions.
Other music players correctly show just 4 versions.

Check for new/changed media: no success.
I deleted mmstore.db and storageinfo.xml in folder /sdcard/Mediamonkey/files: no success.
Are there any other locations where wrong database info could be hidden?

Galaxy S4 mini, Cyanogenmod 6, 128 GB SD card, both newest MMA version and newest MMA beta tested, newest MMW version

Any help greatly appreciated.

more likely caused by plugging in and unplugging the external hd. and it getting a new number when you do that. mm scans in the songs and lists them on the new number drive.
i just leave the external as back up and play the songs from the main hd. and keep mm from scanning the external.

rovingcowboy, thank you for your fast response. This may be the reason.
I now found a solution. I deleted
mmstore.db and storageinfo.xml
in
/data/user/0/com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey/databases
After rescanning media just the physical files remained in the database.
