DNLA Clarification

Post by ifishnc »

I am still trying to figure out networking - but I am making progress.
I can now access MM remotely on my network using my Roku Media Server on my three locations.
However, it is not clear to me whether MM needs to be running on the serving computer or not. Is there a way to
set it up so that my music can be accessed via MM when it is not running on the server? The computer itself is almost always on.

No, MediaMonkey is what you're using to serve the files via DLNA. You can install MediaMonkey as Service, but that still has some of MediaMonkey running (in the background).

'Clear as a bell'? Well, not to me :). I use MMA to play files on my Plex Mediaserver without any problem.
