Disc number empty

Post by denbartman »

Hi,

I use MM as a upnp/dlna server.
Albums with mulitple cd's are labeled as follows= (This is shown in mm)

disc # Track # Title
1 1 Title of cd 1 track 1
1 2 Title of cd 1 track 2
1 3 Title of cd 1 track 3
1 4 Title of cd 1 track 4
2 1 Title of cd 2 track 1
2 2 Title of cd 2 track 2
2 3 Title of cd 2 track 3
2 4 Title of cd 2 track 4

When i access the mm server with Windows mediaplayer, or even an other version of MM this is what is shown

disc # Track # Title
blank 1 Title of cd 1 track 1
blank 1 Title of cd 2 track 1
blank 2 Title of cd 1 track 2
blank 2 Title of cd 2 track 2
blank 3 Title of cd 1 track 3
blank 3 Title of cd 2 track 3
blank 3 Title of cd 2 track 3
blank 4 Title of cd 1 track 4
blank 4 Title of cd 2 track 4

Why is the disc number not transmitted by the dlna server? Is this a bug?

My guess is that windows media player either isn't asking for the data or not using it. If i remember right it does show correctly with mmw (another dlna client).
