Android Auto Sync to Library

I have some audio files that I downloaded to my Android device that I would like synced to my library.

I have cleared out all mm settings on the phone and in mm however when i select "Auto-Sync new files and playlists from the device to the PC" and select the folders... the files do not appear in the destination folder nor in the mm library.

Any guidance to get this to work is appreciated.

Which version of MMA, MMW and Android are you using and does MMA see the new files?

I am using MMW v4.1.4.1709 and a Samsung Galaxy S5. I am not using MMA.

MediaMonkey does not see the new files on the PC but can see the folders on the S5. I am connected via the USB cable.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to work without MMA.

I am able to sync music and playlists to the phone without MMA no problem. Are you saying if I install MMA I should be able to sync from the Device to library?

I've read that MMA is not required for either direction USB sync...but if not installed, the play counts will not be updated from the S5 to the library in MMW. Installing MMA will ensure the play counts are updated in library.

I installed MMA and play counts are not updated when I sync. I have yet to see the play count update on MMW from a sync.

Play counts would only be synced for files played in MMA. Any files played in other Apps won't track play counts.
