this story song is about a girl and a guy in the west. the girl is being bothered by a visitor from back east.
the girl's, guy, shows up and the vistor never gets back home.

no reason given just left up to mind of why he is not home. it involves a rose also.
try that one see if you can figure it out?
before you ask where did i get the song? like my others out of my library collection. :D

no not the jim stafford song that was called wildwood weed. it was about two brothers that just sat around
wondering about being broke on the farm and one day reached down and picked a weed to chew on.
the singer said he thought it was kind of neat take a trip and never leave the farm. thats not the last one
i asked, that was a guess on your's.

my last song was in the qoute above. 8)

i'll give it to you its not easy and might not be found since the word rose is not in the song its the singers name.

thought i'd be sneaky on you with that.

heres the song.

Philadelphia Lawyer by Rose Maddox on album super hits of the 1940's

plot goes the lawyer was out west and asked the girl to dump her cowboy bush bum. and go back to philly with him.
the cowboy heard him say that and the last line of the song is

" there is one less philadelphia lawyer in philadelphia tonight "

Then he said "This frog's for you!"

On the topic of frog songs, there are some that come to mind: "Being Green" and "Rainbow Connection" by Kermit The Frog (Jim Henson). There's also the Crazy Frog, I have a recording of "Axel F" by him. There's also Michigan J. Frog from the Warner Brothers cartoon "One Froggy Evening."

well Solitaire001 knows what it is.

hey that crazy frog is wacko, i got the cdrom of his, that song he did called " who let the frog out " is just crazy.
and the classic song of " Popcorn ", i ran his axle F sound effcts to his start of the song and called it a whole new song of axle frog., made a cdrom of a few of the songs for some 3 and 4 year old kids, they just went wild for that stuff.

:D

okay the answer is the song spiders and snakes by jim stafford

since i had just mentioned him to you as a possible answer for yours tosarge i thought to be sneaky again and use one
of his songs to see if you would catch it. :D

Jim Stafford showed the value of punctuation with his song "My Girl, Bill" or is it "My Girl Bill"? :)

Good one Solitaire001. "Jim Stafford showed the value of punctuation with his song "My Girl, Bill" or is it "My Girl Bill"?" Definitely has a different meaning each way.

Have another song for y'all. Here goes: A guy finds a girl, marries her, becomes a father, becomes a grandfather, and it is all her fault. He blames her the whole way through the song and even the title gives the reason he blames her.

The song "I'm My Own Grandpa" fits the above, although the guy was happy with the situation.
