I'm going to have to go with "Great Hall Awaits a Fallen Brother" by Bathory. Now, I don't know how many metalheads we have on the mediamonkey forums, so a lot of you who just looked up the song on Youtube are probably wondering how this can give me the chills ( ), but I can't help but think of Quorthon every time I read the song title.

First off - thanks to everyone for sharing! I've tried out some of the songs on this thread and found some new songs and artists I've never heard of that I like. (Then again - some of these are pretty strange!)

A few that always give me the chills are:

Moby - Porcelain
Mazzy Star - Fade into You
Grateful Dead - Box of Rain, Mountains of the Moon
Sia - Breathe Me
Zero 7 - Somersault (Sia on vocals!)

Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine is a great song.

When I was young I always thought he sang "I got my first real sex dream. Humm humm humm humm. Played it till my fingers bled. It was the summer of '69"
That song gave me a different kind of chills.

Hi all

I love to listen "Man In The Mirror"- Michael Jackson

The BEST part of ‘Bad’ is the unspeakable seventh track, “Man In The Mirror.” My GOD, there has been such an emotional tale of a man struggling not with others, not with his lover, but with his inner SELF. Michael Jackson, you are a great.

Second one is "I am so paid" - Akon

The mix between Akon's voice and the beat on this song is beautiful. He is mixing his voice with the beats very nicely, which is why he is great. This is the type of music that makes me dream of 1 day working in the music industry LOL! Classic song!

Having been to their concert recently, I've relistened to all of their albums - and so have the following contribution to this thread:

The Flaming Lips / Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots / 09 - Do You Realize??

Two songs, both from Magic Sam's Live album, 'Dont believe you let me down'
and 'Every night about this time'.
Both make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end,
one of the best live blues albums i've ever heard.
