How big is your music collection?

I have about 4,000 at work and around 6,000 at home but when you have a small harddrive you can't keep it all! i burm them to CD in MP3 format.

i just added more to it in the last 2 months.

and in them 2 months i added the 1 and 1/2 the amount i did in the other years some 600 to 750 songs in 2 months. and i dont download from online i add in from tape and records, boy is my rear side sore from sitting all the time. thats a lot of songs to add in on that slow pent 2 computer.

I wonder those of you who have tens of thousands of files, how many of them are ever listened to? even once?

I can say I have listened to every single file in my collection (50,000+). Every new MP3 file gets listened to before it's added. Last year, I completed a project to listen to every existing MP3 file as well, over 120 CDs worth. It took me about three years to get around to hearing them all. (Although most I had heard at least once already.)

And of course, I've listened to every CD in my library, so even if I haven't listened to the actual ripped MP3, I'd still count that.

Consider though, I listen to music ALL the time, at least 8 hrs a day at work.

I don't get much duplication, but I like it that way.

There is Limit I think it is 2Gb Library file size due to Access Database size limit
