Rip verification

Post by TroubleClef »

Last week I ripped 13 CD's with MMW4 and the look up information/tags were all correct, but the rip verification didn't find any of the CD's in the database. I've only encountered that on small number of the 100's of CD's I've ripped in MMW. I haven't changed any of the related settings for this and it worked last time I used it a month or so ago. Is this a known issue?

Hi,
There is no guaranties that all CDs will be in online databases. I ripped more than 7k of CDs and at least 10-15% are not found online.

Understood it's imperfect, I just thought it strange that 13 out of 13 weren't found. I guess if there's no known issues, maybe I'll go buy a lottery ticket ;)

Hi,
Hmmm, that is really strange. I wonder if you rip one of those CDs (disable Volume Leveling) -> Select all ripped tracks -> Auto Tag. Wonder if Audio Fingerprinting would find them?

If not I would really like that you open support Ticket so that we can handle this in more details before publish results publicly.
