MM 4.1.28.1905 Is having a senoir moment: aka short term memory loss

Post by S1ack »

Recent MM updated itself. I know because when it does I have to go and tell it what skin to use again.

So after the up date it's gone - and can no longer locate files in the db.
All tunes are on a NAS, Windows path is Z:\Music\...
It sees everything as [share]\Music\...and it's all greyed out. Every bit of it.
Can't play a thing.
'share' is what the NAS volume is named.

No problem, I nuke the DB and start another scan. Fine. Weird update quirk.

Until today - it's back to not being able to find the tracks. Quite annoying. Start up scans take a while. And then I have a ton of stuplicates. (It is set to delete tracks it does not find - yet it does not do this very well.)

Why?
How to Fix?

MediaMonkey does not auto-update itself, but computer cleaners can cause this problem: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... -are-lost/

If you can't locate the cause a Portable Install of MediaMonkey prevents this problem in the first place.

PS. Current version is 4.1.31: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8811&sd=d
