Copy Paste Not Working

Hi

I can't seem to copy album artwork from one application and then into media monkey. The Paste (CTL-V) button remains dark not allowing that operation. If, however, I do an auto tag from web and album artwork pops up from that search in media monkey, I can copy/paste that image.

I have tried to use both Bing and FireFox explorers thinking it was something in those programs but they both dont work the same way.


So just to review. I can't copy and image from an internet explorer window and then paste that image into a media monkey track. The ctrl-v control doesn't appear as active. However, if I search in Mediamonkey, I can copy that image and paste into a file


Would really like some help as this is infinitely annoying

Hello Paul,

no, that is not possible, not even for MS-EXCEL or MS-WORD

Right click on the image in Firefox / Edge: "Save graphic as"
Choose destination folder on your computer
Insert MM image (location of the image on your computer)

Also to clarify the copy/paste details, in MM I point to a file, right click and a laundry list of options appear including Play Now, Play Next, List etc. In that laundry list the Paste (Ctrl-v) option is grayed out

Which version of MediaMonkey and Firefox? For me it still works on MediaMonkey 4.1.28 from Firefox.

I will take a look and post. However, as mentioned this is occurring in Bing as well. Pasting works fine if the copy takes place from within MM itself

Have you tried Drag and Drop image from Firefox/Edge/Chrome/Internet Explorer/Opera/... to MM Artwork and Details window?

what window should be opened in MM to which I should be dragging my artwork to?

The Art & Details window (enable in the View menu). This will tag the playing or selected file depending on which tab is active in the Art & Details window.

So the version of MM I am using is 4.1.11.1783

I can drag drop from an explorer window into the Arts & Details window. But I can't copy paste into same

Driving me a bit batty. Looking forward to your recommendations

BTW, I can copy/paste images into other programs like MS Word, etc

I can try and upgrade if that will not change my playcount history. However, this copy/paste functionality was working 2 weeks ago FWIW

Installing a new release on top of an old release leaves the database (which includes Play History) intact.

When I try and check for updates, I get the following message

"MediaMonkey 4.1.11.1783 is the current version"
