Remembering searches for Auto Playlists

Post by MPG »

I have an auto playlist for my phone that selects songs with a play count of zero and of specific genres to a maximum size of 4GB. Typically I get about 800 songs, of the 400,000 available, in the playlist. The playlist is sorted by random album.

I have noticed that quite often songs are on the playlist from searches I've done since the last load. While it could just be coincidence, I have seen this happen more often than not for me to believe otherwise.

So, my question is this: Does MMD track searches and then use them for future playlists where they fit the criteria....or am I just hearing things?
TIA

No, it would not track searches, it just applies the AutoPlaylist rules. Which version of MediaMonkey and are the included results incorrect (ie. they have a playcount not 0)?

Have you tried File > Maintain Library with complete optimization checked?

Hi Lowlander,
Running latest version of 4. Playlists are returning correct results. I'm pretty sure it's just coincidence or me believing it is. Just interesting, that's all. Thanks for the response! Have a great day!
