Post by MOMENTUM » Wed Feb 13, 2019 10:57 am

Hello All,
Fairly new to MM. (use to Logitech Media Server)
on my basement pc i have MM working great with about 5k albums.

What im trying to find is simple tab / button to see my recently added Albums.
I cant seem to find a easy way to display albums by date added.
ive seen some posts on playlists but i dont make playlists...I select tracks from albums

I must be missing something simple way..dont want to see just tracks but full albums.
With a b ig collection newly added albums get lost ...
thx

when you are viewing the list of tracks .. rightclick the column header and you can select which columns you want to see. Click on ADDED and it will be added to the listing. Then if you want you can click on that column to sort in that order.

Set View (in Main Menu) to Art for seeing Albums. Added is a bit more challenging, but you should be able to do this with Advanced Search/AutoPlaylists sorted on Added (but I don't know if it will keep the Album as one as Added would differ for each file on the Album).

To me the easiest way to find Recently Added content is to use the playlist cleverly named by the MediaMonkey people as Recently Added Content which I believe comes already installed. (Playlists > Recently Added Content > scroll down to the appropriate date). The only problem I have with this - I use it regularly - is that MM chose to order it with oldest first and newest last. It would work so much better if the newest were at the top of the list. This is a very useful tool as you don't need to know (or guess) what tags the tracks might have, what Collection it might be in or what the artist, album artist or album title might be. All you need to know is that you added it. Then you can edit it to your heart's content.

Gold users can modify the Criteria of AutoPlaylists. Just right click on the AutoPlaylist in the Media Tree and select Edit AutoPlaylist.
