[SOLVED] 1708 MMDC file conversion

Post by chrisjj »

How can I decode MM's .MMDC file to a readable text format?

I need this to debug issues with device settings. .MMDC files look like binary. Currently when I compare .MMDC files for two device configs differing only in name, I get a ton of differences, which I guess are due to data compression.

WORKAROUND for anyone prepared to do it the hard way - visually. Run two portable installations, one showing each device, and ALT-TAB between.

That worked. Inside I found DeviceConfig.xml. Thanks Peke!

Out of interest, why is the .XML held in .ZIP?
