SO SLOW

Post by Risser »

Sometimes, as I'musing MM, it will stop and do something for minutes, often five minutes at a time, every time I touch it, literally just changing a single field. Then suddenly it will react quickly again for a while, then slow down again. I can't figure out why or when this happens. Occasionally it freezes up and never ever comes back.

I think it might be that I've only got about 10-15% of my 450GB hard drive free, and my DB file is probably large (80000+ files), so maybe it's indexing or restructuring the DB or whatever and it takes a while because it's so fractured. I honestly don't know.

Also, I tried to log in to the help desk to create a ticket, and couldn't log in, even though I logged in here just fine.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Which version of MediaMonkey? Try running File > Maintain Library with complete optimization checked.
