MediaMonkey for Mac?

Post by lobengular »

Dear developers and staunch users. I have just purchased a Macbook air v.10.7 and of course with Itune. Unfortunately or fortunately, I identified why I cannot be a fun of itune and URGENTLY need Mediamonkey on the equipment since it is the one I have to carry with me everyday and get my music organised the way I want. Is there a Mediamonkey for Mac? IF NOT, any work-around as to have it work?

I sincrely hope that all tech guys could help me out. Like always, I am most graetful for belonging to this community.
Thanks for your cordial support.

Actually all the workarounds for the MM instalation on Mac are strenous and they don't really work. It installs but hangs most times and because of that the plea to our specialists at the MM office. Hey, are there no thoughts on developing a Mac version and if yes when are we gonna start with the trial version and if no WHY NOT? I think MM is such a marvelous application that could be used satisfactorily in any sytem once people become used to it.

Any ideas as to when ?

Thanks for any response !

I can't speak for Ventis, of course, but I don't believe they still think about that. Given Apple's marginal global market share and the fact that OS X always comes with iTunes, there simply wouldn't be a market for a Mac version.

Unfortunately that statement is more than four years old and nothing has happened since, so I would assume it's deprecated.

I don't think so, there are lots of references in Mantis to making MM 'cross-platform'. Just a few:
