Losing Album Art Upon Editing

Post by Pokeycat » Sun Mar 20, 2005 9:37 pm

I Use Goldwave to edit files when I need to, which works fine.

But when I edit a track, I lose the album art. (the rest of the tag is fine)

I spose i could look it up again, but i've been thru that already.

Is there an easier way? Like maybe copy/paste to some temp file or something? Or is there a way to prevent this problem to start with?

Any suggestions?

Why not use MediaMonkey?
You might be overwriting ID3v2 tags with ID3v1
ID3v1 doesn't support Album art.

ID3v1 can be found on file end (128 Bytes from File end) and ID3v2 is on begining of file my best conclusion is that somehow ID3v2 tag fields that contain Album Art got owerwritten or not written after editing as this is common problem with various applications.

Maybe you could try to store the Album Arts as JPEG-Files in the Album-Folder instead of storing the Image in each mp3.
That's the way I do it.
