Is it possible to install Mediamonkey on a USB flash drive?

Post by concentricks » Wed Mar 26, 2008 1:50 pm

I'm looking for some advice on the feasiblity of installing MM on a USB flash drive, so it would be possible to organize the music contained on the flash drive, and play them on any computer, whether or not MediaMonkey was installed on the computer the USB drive was plugged into? I think the potential problem might be files that would be placed outside the USB directory during installation.

In short, I would like to achieve a version of the program that could run completely self-contained within the USB flash drive.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Its on the wishlist but not possible as I understand it because MM uses quite a few registry entries for various settings.

You can make practically any software portable, even if it uses registry entries and likes.

There are numerous softwares to do this. And is really quite simple too.
For starters try:
Thinstall
