How to exclude folders from MM?

Post by LINYbob » Sun Nov 25, 2007 5:18 pm

I would like to exclude certain folders from MM's library function, but no matter what I do, they keep showing up. Is there any way to keep them out permanently? I monitor the parent drive - i.e. F:, but don't want some work folders - F:\WORK from showing up in the library. I have been all over MM trying everything I could find, but like I said, these work folders keep showing up every time I start up MM.

I don't know if you can specify the exclusion of certain folders (maybe somebody else knows how), but I know you can give MM a list of folders to include (and therefore you can leave your F:\WORK\ folder off that list).

To set up the inclusion list, use the following menu tree:

Tools | Options | Library | File Monitor

Then use the [Add Folder] button to add the specific folders you DO want to include.

It's may be more work than specifying a single folder to exclude, but it may be the only way to accomplish what you want.
